Construction
“ The most expensive project you’ll ever do is one that doesn’t work.”
Setting the Standard in Project Management during the Construction Process
At TJW Industrial, our extensive experience in project management and field operations, particularly within industrial settings such as food processing, sets us apart from our competition. Our Project Managers (PMs) bring with them a unique blend of project management and real-world experience. In fact, it’s not uncommon for our PMs to have extensive backgrounds as field service foreman, providing them with a holistic understanding of the complexities involved in each client project. This unique combination ensures we consistently meet and exceed expectations.
Working in and around food processing facilities requires a deep understanding of compliance, safety, complexity, processes, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Our team is adept at navigating these challenges and ensures every project adheres to the highest standards.
Coupled with our project management and deep technical expertise in project management is our qualified and certified welding staff. Distinguishing TJW from other contractors, their expertise ensures precision and quality in every weld, contributing to the overall success and safety of our projects.
In the spirit of viewing all of the projects linearly, the process from engineering to design intersects with our construction process.
Pre-Work Phase and Coordination
The pre-work phase consists of site scheduling, readiness planning, safety training, and material delivery, along with any additional prep work needed to ensure we are setting up for a successful build.
This phase is crucial as many of our clients operate 24/7. By the time the equipment arrives, our team has already been on-site for 1-2 weeks, completing safety training. Our goal is to be fully prepared for equipment arrival, fast-tracking the project to ensure all pre-work is completed efficiently and on time.
Comprehensive Construction and Startup
With our team on-site, we move into the core construction phase, focusing on on-time and on-schedule completion. The next milestone is the system startup. Our in-house technicians, specializing in ammonia systems, perform rigorous pressure testing, tie-ins, and pump-outs and evacuate all contaminants before introducing ammonia. Our “evacuate and charge” process ensures system integrity.
Thorough IO Checkout and System Optimization
Our team conducts an exhaustive IO checkout on all device controls, ensuring everything functions perfectly. We then start the equipment, making necessary adjustments to optimize settings for peak performance.
Finalizing the Project
The final stage includes completing the punch list, applying labels, painting, and providing comprehensive manuals and as-built drawings. These documents are delivered electronically, with printed versions available if needed. This meticulous approach guarantees that every aspect of the project meets our high standards and the client’s expectations.
Commitment to Excellence in Industrial Mechanical Services
At TJW Industrial, safety, quality, and efficiency are paramount and are never compromised. Our design-build approach, combined with our expertise in industrial mechanical services, ensures that every project is completed to the highest standards. From food processing facilities to cold storage facilities and various other industrial settings, our team is equipped to handle the unique challenges each project presents, delivering exceptional results every time.
Our construction process was born from decades of experience with industry-leading refrigeration experts; the result of that experience is a detailed and comprehensive process that we are proud to stand by here at TJW because, as you might be able to understand, “The most expensive project you’ll ever do is one that doesn’t work.”
