About Us

At TJW Industrial, we specialize in design-build refrigeration and mechanical contracting, primarily serving customers across the Midwest and beyond. Headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, we have key team members strategically located throughout the region. With over a century of combined experience, our team brings unmatched expertise to every project. Founded in 2019 by Joe Wagner, Jim Wagner, and Juan Arambula, Jr., TJW has rapidly grown from a small team to over 100 employees in just five years. We’re now expanding to a new facility with a state-of-the-art prefabrication shop, enabling us to provide even greater service to our customers.

Our success is rooted in the strength of our team, united by a shared goal: to deliver exceptional service through expertise, integrity, and hard work. Whether it’s a routine service call, a large-scale project, or PSM/RMP compliance, we strive to earn our clients’ trust and exceed their expectations.

A leadership team with deep roots in the industry

Joe and Jim Wagner are third-generation mechanical engineers. Joe began his career at his father Tim’s refrigeration and mechanical contracting company, working his way up from the warehouse while earning his engineering degree at Purdue University. He later moved into project management and engineering roles, where his comprehensive understanding of the industry has been instrumental in delivering customer-centered projects.

Jim started his career in the CAD department and later led a top-tier engineering and design team. Together, Joe and Jim have built a foundation of engineering excellence for the next generation.

Juan Arambula, Jr. also followed in his family’s footsteps, becoming a third-generation member of the plumbers and steamfitters apprenticeship program. Juan advanced from apprentice to foreman and then superintendent, managing field crews for a nationwide contractor. His field expertise brings a practical perspective to project execution, ensuring efficiency and top-quality outcomes.

With diverse backgrounds and complementary strengths, our leadership team approaches every project from multiple angles, ensuring the most efficient and high-quality results for our clients.

TJW Team

With diverse backgrounds and complementary strengths, our leadership team views every project from multiple angles, leading to the most efficient, high-quality outcomes for our clients.

The TJW Heritage

Tim Wagner, Joe’s father and Jim’s uncle, played a significant role in our careers. It’s only fitting that we named our company after him—TJW stands for Tim’s initials, and our logo is based on his handwriting. Tim had an extraordinary career in refrigeration and food processing. After building a successful refrigeration division and creating a food processing group for another contractor, Tim and his business partner Denny founded their own company, grounded in solid values and a passion for customer service. His leadership philosophy centered on trusting employees to “do the right thing” and empowering them to excel in their roles. His approach created a remarkable company culture, one that we’re proud to carry forward as part of his legacy. The initials “TJW” remind us daily to uphold the culture Tim worked so hard to build.

Commitment to Community

At TJW, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. We proudly support local organizations, including high school and youth sports teams, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Pheasants Forever, and Ducks Unlimited. As a family-driven company, we’re dedicated to fostering a better future for everyone through these partnerships and initiatives.

Join the TJW Family

We’re always looking for talented individuals to join our team. Whether you’re an engineer, project manager, supervisor, or service technician, we want to hear from you. Our hiring philosophy is simple: we prefer to hire “the right person at the wrong time” rather than “the wrong person at the right time.”
If you’re hardworking, skilled, and passionate about your craft, there’s a place for you at TJW.
